Established in 2012 NRC Jordan’s long-term outlook addresses the problems affecting life as a refugee. We work to build the resilience of Syrians, and to relieve the impact on the Jordanian communities that host them. Syrian refugees in Jordan are struggling. As they contend with difficult living conditions across the country, the obstacles are complex. They struggle to remain registered as refugees, to provide for their families, and to access essential services – including education for their children. The Jordanian communities that host them, meanwhile, feel the impact of hosting high numbers of refugees – with each year that passes, local infrastructure becomes more strained.
1.Roles and Responsibilities

The distribution assistant will be responsible for facilitating NRC distribution activities in the camp
which include the entry of assistance data and the physical distribution of assistance to beneficiaries.
The candidates should have good communication skills and able to perform well under pressure.


Generic responsibilities:
Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines.
Assist with the implementation of the support function portfolio according to plan of action..
Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
Ensure proper filing of documents.
Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function.
Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC.
Specific responsibilities:
Registering refugees through UNHCR RAIS registration system.
Supporting the officer in delivering NFIs to beneficiaries.
Preparing data reports and analyzing information based on registration data.
Directly managing distribution processes as assigned by the project officer.
Daily supervision of incentive laborers as requested by the project officer.

We are looking for candidates with Vocational/Tawjihi degree or equivalent, whom has minimum one year experience with shelter projects in a humanitarian/recovery context. Proficiency in computer skills with demonstrated experience on MS Office tools, fluency in Arabic and intermediate knowledge of English, both written and verbal are required.

Proficiency with MS Office tools, demonstrated leadership skills, fluency in Arabic andknowledge in English, both written and verbal are required.

المجلس النرويجي للاجئين هو منظمة دولية، مستقلة، انسانية، غير حكومية تقدم المساعدة للاجئين والنازحين داخلياً في دول عديدة منها الأردن. كجزء من عمله، يقدم المجلس النرويجي للاجئين المعلومات والاستشارات والمساعدة القانونية لدعم المستفيدين ومساعدتهم في ممارسة حقوقهم. يشمل مستفيدي المجلس النرويجي للاجئين: اللاجئين، النازحين داخلياً و أفراد من المجتمع المضيف.

تحضير الأوراق القانونية المطلوبة لمباشرة ومتابعة الدعم لمستفيدي المجلس النرويجي للاجئين أمام الادارات والمراجع القضائية المختصة.
تحضير وتقديم تقارير شهرية حول النشاطات المنجزة شهرياً.


تقديم معلومات للفريق القانوني لدى المجلس النرويجي للاجئين حول التطبيق العملي من قبل الادارات والمراجع القضائية وكيفية التعامل مع الحالات المقدمة لديها في حدود نطاق خدمات التمثيل القانوني لمستفيدي المجلس.
تعبئة نماذج التوثيق المعتمدة من قبل المجلس النرويجي للاجئين.
تزويد الفريق القانوني في المجلس النرويجي للاجئين يشكل منتظم، بالمعلومات المتعلقة بتفاصيل متابعة الحالات القانونية والخطوات المنجزة.

أساسي: القدرة على الانتقال بين مناطق محافظات عمان ، الزرقاء والبلقاء وفقاً لما تتطلبه خدمة الدعم القانوني لمستفيدي المجلس النرويجي للاجئين في اطار الخدمات المقدمة.
أساسي: اجازة جامعية في الحقوق.
أساسي: الحيازة على ترخيص ساري المفعول من قبل نقابة المحامين في الأردن لممارسة مهنة المحاماة و للقيام بالاجراءات الشرعية والقانونية أمام المحاكم الشرعية والمدنية.
أساسي:اتقان اللغة العربية بطلاقة، كتابياً وشفهياً.
أساسي:الالتزام بالعمل مع اللاجئين ومساعدتهم للحصول على حقوقهم القانونية .

The Norwegian Refugee Council is an international, independent, humanitarian, non-governmental organization that provides assistance to refugees’ and internally displaced people in many countries worldwide including Jordan. As a part of its assistance, NRC provides information, counselling and legal assistance services to empower the beneficiaries and support them to claim and exercise their rights. NRC beneficiaries include: Refugees, internally displaced people, and members of host community.
All NRC employees are expected to work in accordance with the organization’s core values: dedication, innovation, inclusivity and accountability.
Scope of work:
Providing support to NRC beneficiaries on the issues related to birth, marriage and death registration.
Assessing the legal viability of the cases, and the possibility of a viable support with respect to NRC’s beneficiaries’ interest and benefit.

Preparing the legal documents needed to proceed and continue supporting NRC beneficiaries before the administrative and judicial competent bodies.
Preparing and submitting monthly reports on the activities completed on a monthly basis.
Providing NRC’s legal team with information on administrative and judicial practices in the scope of the thematic areas of service delivery.
Filling in NRC legal case management tools.
Providing regularly, NRC legal team with information on the details related to the follow-up on the legal cases and the actions taken.
Attending periodic meetings, trainings, workshops and seminars directly related to the subject of service delivery.
Minimum qualifications:
Necessary: Ability to travel between Amman, Zarqa’a and Balqa’a different areas, according to the requirements of the legal support for NRC’s beneficiaries in the scope of the subject of service delivery.
Necessary: A university degree in law.
Necessary: An active license from the Jordanian bar association to practice law in Jordan and proceed with the legal procedures before Shariaa and civil courts.
Necessary: Verbal and written fluency in Arabic.
Necessary: Committed to working with refugees; and supporting them to exercise their legal rights.
Desirable: Knowledge about the framework, national laws and legal procedures related to the provision of support to NRC’s beneficiaries on legal identity and civil documentation thematic area.
